Our School ACHIEVE values are the guiding principles that influence every aspect of our students school life, from how they engage with peers to how they approach learning and challenges. We are so pleased at how well the children have used our school ACHIEVE values in every aspect of their school day, including the classroom, corridors, assemblies and on playground.
During lessons, we are really proud of the children as they are trying hard, settling into their new routines and showing positive attitudes to learning.
During our third week of term and to demonstrate how our values work in action, we were lucky enough to have an Olympic Gold medalist visit our school! Kieran Bird was a great inspiration to us all. He told us all about his swimming career and how hard he has had to work. Hearing that he set a personal best at the British National Championships in April 2024 of 3:45.63 showed his VALIANCE and EXCELLENCE.
At the British National Championships in April he won gold in the men’s 400 freestyle and also set bests in the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyles. When he took part in the Paris Olympics in 2024, Bird swam a heat leg of the men's 4x200m freestyle team that went on to win gold.
Congratulations to Kieran on his Olympic success!
